Bletsas Angelos

Bletsas Angelos is a Professor at the Technical University of Crete within the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is affiliated with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Telecommunications Laboratory.

• Diploma in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1998)

His research spans wireless communications, focusing on relay networks, backscatter radios, RFID systems, low-cost sensor networks, signal processing for telecommunications, and time/frequency metrology. He also contributes to academic bibliometrics.

Notable awards include the Guglielmo Marconi Best Publication Award (2008), Best Paper Award at IEEE ISWCS 2009, and supervision of student papers honored at multiple international conferences. His research has been funded by an ERC Starting Researcher Grant (2009-2010) and the Technical University of Crete Excellence Award (2013).
