Bjoern Asdecker

Dr. Björn Asdecker is a Researcher and Teaching Assistant at the Chair of Operations Management and Logistics, Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics, and Business Administration, Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg. He also serves as a lecturer at FH Coburg since 2012.

His research focuses on e-commerce logistics, crowd logistics, and returns management, with practical applications in sustainable supply chain systems and simulation games in logistics. He founded the Returns Management Research Group (www.retourenforschung.de) and contributes to academic publishing frameworks.

Key awards include the Hans Löwel Foundation Doctoral Prize (2016), EHI Science Prize (2015), and multiple Bayernhafen Logistics Awards (2010-2013). He received Bavaria's Good Teaching Prize (2012) and has mentored award-winning theses.
