Birgit Pferdmenges

Birgit Pferdmenges is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics of Saar University of Applied Sciences (htw saar), where she has worked since 2014. Her teaching focuses on accounting, financial management, and management disciplines, including courses like annual financial statements and cost accounting in tourism. Prior to this, she held research positions at the University of Tübingen and the University of Stuttgart.

• Education: Completed an apprenticeship as a bank clerk at Commerzbank AG, followed by a business administration degree at the University of Trier with a focus on "money, credit, and finance".
• Research: Investigated "heterogeneity and performance of junior research groups" during her doctorate at Tübingen and contributed to financial management in the "Simulation Technology" Cluster of Excellence at Stuttgart.
• International Engagement: Participated in Erasmus+ staff mobility programs at Thomas More, Mechelen/Belgium (2018, 2019).
• Professional Roles: Board member of the Academy for International Mobility, Sport and Tourism Management (AIM e.V.).
