Bingyi Chen is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the University of Colorado Denver Business School. Her research examines corporate governance and auditing mechanisms, with specific focus on investor perceptions of audit quality and executive compensation structures.

Prior to academia, Professor Chen worked as an auditor at Ernst & Young LLP where she earned UK Chartered Accountant status. Her current research investigates how capital market participants evaluate audit quality, particularly for complex accounting estimates and multinational audits.
Her publications appear in leading journals including Journal of Accounting Research and Contemporary Accounting Research. She previously taught at Suffolk University before joining CU Denver.
