Bing Wang

Bing Wang is an adjunct associate professor at the USC Thornton School of Music and associate concertmaster of the Los Angeles Philharmonic since 1994. She has served as principal second violin of the Cincinnati Symphony, concertmaster at the Aspen Music Festival and School since 2003, and guest concertmaster of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra since 2009. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes foundational violin skills, intonation precision, and stylistic versatility across genres.

• Education: Studied at Shanghai Conservatory of Music middle school, trained by parents; Master's degree from Manhattan School of Music under Glenn Dicterow

Research Interests:
Violin pedagogy, chamber music collaboration, orchestral performance practice, and cross-cultural musical interpretation through her work with international ensembles.
