Binbin Wang

Binbin Wang is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Missouri-Columbia. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) and holds the William Andrew Davidson Professorship, focusing on environmental fluid dynamics and its applications in natural and engineered systems.

Education:

His research spans environmental hydraulics, hydrodynamics in rivers/lakes, pollution dispersion, survival of invasive carp eggs, long-distance seed dispersal, and vascular disease prediction. His work integrates optical/acoustic techniques and physics-driven machine learning to study particle-flow interactions in extreme environments like deep-sea hydrocarbon seeps.

He advises graduate students Mustahsin Reasad and Xuchen Ying. He has secured grants from NSF, USGS, DOE, ONR, and Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative.
