Bill Acres

Bill Acres, PhD, FRHistS is an Associate Professor of Church History and Comparative Religion at the Faculty of Theology, Huron University. His teaching emphasizes student-driven research, critical thinking, and close mentorship within a liberal arts framework.

• Research Focus: Histories of the English Reformation (1690-1740), colonial-era trusts and Indigenous relations in New England (1870-1934), and the interplay between theology, history, and religion.
• Academic Contributions: Guest-edited Volume LVI of The Canadian Journal of Church Historical Studies for the Tri-History Conference at Trinity College, Toronto (2019).
