Bijal Shah

Biography: Bijal Shah is an Associate Professor of Law at Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, and a Visiting Professor of Law at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research focuses on administrative law and structural constitutionalism, with an emphasis on agency dynamics in immigration and interagency coordination. She also develops critical theories in these areas.

• Education: JD from Yale Law School (2007), MPA from Harvard Kennedy School (2007).
• Prior Roles: Acting Assistant Professor at NYU School of Law, Associate General Counsel at the Department of Justice/Executive Office for Immigration Review, and Presidential Management Fellow at the Department of Homeland Security.
• Publishing: Her work appears in Harvard Law Review, Stanford Law Review, Yale Journal on Regulation, and Minnesota Law Review.
• Awards: Kirby Human Rights Fellow (Yale), Sinclair Kennedy Fellow (Harvard), and Chair of the AALS Section on Legislation & Law of the Political Process.
