Bianca-Florentina Cheregi

Bianca-Florentina Cheregi is an Associate Professor at the College of Communication and Public Relations (CCPR) and serves as program coordinator for the MA in Brand Management and Corporate Communication. She is an active member of the Communication, Discourse, Public Issues Lab (CoDiPo), affiliated with the Center of Research in Communication. In 2017-2018, she was awarded the Spiru Haret Fellowship and received the Best Paper Prize in Arts, Media and Migration at The Migration Conference in Lisbon.

Her research explores interdisciplinary domains including:

• Macro/micro-level nation branding (cities, personal brands)
• Migration patterns and diaspora studies
• Semiotic analysis of communication
• Digital-era marketing and consumer behavior
• Social media's impact on branding strategies

Her publications demonstrate a consistent focus on how technology transforms diplomatic and branding practices, with recent works examining AI in cyber diplomacy, educational marketing in Romanian universities, and disruptive technology's role in national soft power strategies.

She leads courses including Branding through Social Media, Brand Identity in Digital Contexts, Consumer Behavior, and Marketing Communication, and maintains active involvement in the CoDiPo research laboratory.
