Bharat Jasthi

Dr. Bharat Jasthi is Professor of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (SDSMT), where he has served since 2013. He coordinates the Materials Engineering and Science graduate program and holds a PhD and MS from SDSMT, plus a B.Tech from JN Technological University.

His research expertise spans materials synthesis, surface coatings, additive manufacturing (cold-spray/laser deposition), friction-stir welding, corrosion science, and alloy development. Funded by NSF, DOD, DOE, and NASA.
