Betsy Struxness

Betsy Struxness is a Lecturer and Professor at the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance within the University of Southern California. Her career spans professional ballet, Broadway performances, and entertainment industry development projects, combining expertise in dance, artistic collaboration, and societal activism.

Her research interests include Dance, Theater, and Entertainment Industry dynamics. She focuses on intersections of Artistic Collaboration, Performance Activism, and Societal Issues in Art.

Struxness advocates for performers through union liaison work and integrates activism into her creative practice. She has originated roles in Broadway productions like Hamilton and Memphis, and released her debut pop album Physical Attention.
