Dr. Betsy Burrows is Professor of Teacher Education and Director of the Teacher Licensure Program at Brevard College. She holds an Ed.D. from Western Carolina University, M.A. from UNC Chapel Hill, and B.A. from Wake Forest University.
Her research examines:

- Urban education challenges
- Democratic citizenship pedagogy
- Arts integration in curricula
- Diversity in public schools
Burrows has published extensively on teacher development and educational equity. She authors the 'Everyday Education' column in the Transylvania Times, addressing topics from private school vouchers to arts integration and civil discourse in classroom settings.
