Betsy Bauer

Betsy Bauer serves as an Assistant Professor and Program Lead in Visual Development at the College for Creative Studies, College of Art and Design, Department of Illustration. With a BFA in Computer Animation from Ringling College of Art and Design, she brings extensive industry experience to her academic role.

Bauer specializes in Illustration with focus areas in Character Design, Environmental Design for animated projects, and Graphic Novels for Middle Grade/YA publishing markets. Her work bridges traditional illustration techniques with modern digital applications.

Recent publications include My Little Golden Book about Jackie Robinson (2018) and the ImagineFX Artist in Residence feature (2019), showcasing her expertise in creating culturally significant visual narratives across multiple platforms including print books, digital media, and animation.
