Bethwyn Evans

Dr Bethwyn Evans is a linguist at the Australian National University's School of Culture, History and Language specializing in historical and comparative linguistics, with particular focus on Austronesian- and Papuan-speaking communities in Bougainville and the western Solomon Islands. Her research integrates linguistic analysis with archaeology, anthropology, and genetics to explore ethnolinguistic histories and mechanisms of language change.
