Bethea Kleykamp

Dr. Bethea Kleykamp is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at University of Maryland School of Medicine and Director of Research for the Maryland Addiction Consultation Service. Her NIH-funded work examines cognitive impacts of substance use.

Research focuses on psychopharmacology of tobacco/nicotine, opioid-alcohol interactions, and substance use in aging populations. She contributes to IMMPACT recommendations on pain treatment risk assessment.

Kleykamp completed postdoctoral fellowships at Johns Hopkins and NIDA after earning her PhD in Experimental Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
