Beth Root Sandvoss is a cellist and Distinguished Instructor at Mount Royal University and University of Calgary. She holds a B.Mus. and M.Mus. and maintains an active international performance career alongside teaching responsibilities.
As founding member of the Juno-nominated Land's End Ensemble and cellist with the UCalgary String Quartet, she has premiered over 125 new works and recorded ten commercial CDs. Pedagogical achievements include preparing students for prestigious institutions including Curtis Institute and Juilliard.
