Beth Conway is an Associate Professor of Biology and Associate Chair in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Lipscomb University. She holds a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Abilene Christian University (2001) and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Connecticut Health Center (2006). Her research focuses on cancer biology, particularly the role of neprilysin in triple-negative breast cancers. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Genetics, Molecular Biology, and Cancer Biology.
Conway has received prestigious awards, including the Lipscomb University Outstanding Teacher honor in 2011 and 2017, and the John Baker Summer Fellowship Award in 2018. She mentors 6-10 students annually in cancer research projects, leading to peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
Her lab investigates signaling pathways in basal-like breast cancers, contributing to advancements in understanding tumor-associated angiogenesis and protein regulation. She is actively involved in both teaching and research mentorship within the Biology department.
