Bernhard Reicher

Bernhard Reicher is a current student assistant and project staff member at the Department of Sociology and Human Geography, Division of Sociology, Paris Lodron University of Salzburg. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with distinction in February 2024 and is now enrolled in the Master’s program in Sociology.

Reicher contributes to the transdisciplinary AlpLakeChange project funded by the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW), focusing on biodiversity changes in alpine waters within the Hohe Tauern National Park. His responsibilities include designing, conducting, and analyzing visitor surveys to understand human-environment dynamics in protected areas. His academic research interests span gender studies, environmental sociology, and digital sociology, particularly examining hegemonic masculinity in internet pornography through his bachelor’s thesis.
