Bernadette TISE'

Bernadette TISE' serves as a Tenured Researcher and Associate Professor of Roman History (L-ANT/03) at the Department of Humanities, Faculty of Letters and Philosophy, University of Salento. Her academic career spans over two decades at the institution, where she teaches Roman History to undergraduate and graduate students across multiple degree programs including Letters, Philosophy, and Classics.

Her research focuses on Roman History and Latin Epigraphy, specializing in the analysis of political-administrative, economic-social, and religious issues in ancient Rome from its origins to the 4th century AD. She utilizes Greek and Latin literary sources as well as Latin epigraphic sources in her scholarly work. Professor TISE' teaches courses including Roman History (12 CFU) and contributes to the course 'The Languages of Power in Antiquity,' where she delivers approximately 10 hours of instruction per academic year.

Professor TISE' has been actively involved in the academic community, serving on examination committees and contributing to curriculum development for various degree programs. She has coordinated teaching activities across multiple academic years and regularly updates course materials for students, with documented teaching programs dating back to the 2014-2015 academic year.
