About
Beren Sanders is an Associate Professor in the Mathematics Department at UC Santa Cruz. His research explores triangulated categories with applications in tensor triangular geometry, stable homotopy theory, and representation theory. Sanders completed his PhD at UCLA under Paul Balmer and held postdoctoral positions at EPFL and the University of Copenhagen before joining UCSC.
His recent publications investigate homological stratification, tensor triangular support theories, and equivariant homotopy structures. Teaching includes advanced algebra (MATH 200, 202), linear algebra (MATH 117), and specialized topics in homological algebra (MATH 239, 281).
