Benoît Roux is a Research Engineer at the University of Rouen Normandy (ERIAC UR 4705) and associated researcher at Mondes Américains – ESNA (UMR 8168). His work focuses on colonial and indigenous histories of the Lesser Antilles, with special attention to material culture and knowledge circulation. He received a PhD in History (2019) for his thesis on French-Amerindian relations in the 17th century Caribbean.

Recent projects include editing rare colonial sources and leading workshops on provenance research for museum collections. He has organized international conferences on Caribbean history and Amerindian studies.
