Benjamin Zapilko is an Interim Professor and lead of the Data Linking team at GESIS's department of Knowledge Technologies for the Social Sciences (WTS). He has been with GESIS since 2007, following his computer science graduation from the University of Koblenz. His research focuses on Semantic Web technologies and Linked Open Data applications in social sciences. He completed his doctoral research on Linked Open Data publication and matching at Mannheim University in 2015. Professional affiliations include membership in the RDF Vocabularies Working Group of the DDI Alliance and co-organizing the Library Track at the Ontology Alignment Evaluation Initiative (OAEI) from 2012–2014.
