Benjamin Mcfadden

Benjamin Mcfadden is a Doctor of Philosophy student at the School of Physics, Mathematics and Computing, The University of Western Australia. He concurrently holds a Casual Teaching role in Multi-Discipline. His research focuses on applying machine learning to healthcare challenges, particularly in clinical diagnostics and infection science. He has contributed to projects addressing sepsis, blood culture prediction, and AI-driven healthcare solutions.

His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to good health and well-being. Key research areas include predictive analytics, in silico modeling, and trusted AI systems for clinical practice.

He has been an investigator on the Western Australia-driven COVID-19 countermeasures grant (2021–2022). His datasets include blood culture outcome prediction models and machine learning pipelines for clinical diagnostics.
