Benjamin Mathon serves as a Lecturer at the University of Lille, maintaining dual office locations in Building P2, Room 309 and ESPRIT, Room S1.43 at the Scientific City campus. He is actively affiliated with the CRIStAL research center and the Color Imaging team.
His research concentrates on Image Processing and Computer Vision, specializing in Multispectral Imaging techniques for Precision Agriculture. Key work involves extracting texture attributes from multispectral images under uncontrolled lighting conditions, addressing real-world agricultural monitoring challenges.
Dr. Mathon has supervised doctoral research including Anis Amziane's thesis on "Texture attributes extracted from multispectral images acquired under uncontrolled lighting conditions. Application to precision agriculture," successfully defended on October 18, 2022.
As a core member of the Color Imaging team within CRIStAL, he contributes to interdisciplinary imaging research while maintaining offices across the university's Scientific City facilities.
