Benjamin Edwards

Benjamin Edwards is a Professor of Law and Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Research at the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He specializes in corporate governance, securities law, arbitration, and consumer protection. Prior to academia, he practiced securities litigation at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, handling cases from the Madoff Ponzi scheme and 2008 financial crisis.

His research examines corporate legal frameworks, financial regulation, and transactional law dynamics. (2025) evaluating Nevada, Texas, and Wyoming's corporate reforms. He co-authored a Tesla derivative litigation amicus brief (2025) and explored robo-adviser regulation (2018).
