Benjamin Cazzolato

Professor Benjamin Cazzolato is a faculty member at the University of Adelaide's School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering within the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology. He serves as a lecturer, researcher, and consultant specializing in system dynamics and control, with expertise in vibro-acoustics, finite element analysis, and modal analysis. His research spans scales from atomistic to large ocean wave systems.

Research Interests:

• Sound and Vibration: Over two decades of experience in active/passive noise control, aeroacoustics, vibroacoustics, and vibration isolation.
• Ocean Energy: Focuses on wave energy converters (e.g., oscillating water columns, point absorbers) and oscillating cylinders in low-speed flows via the Wave Energy Research Group.
• Dynamics and Control: Investigates control of dynamic systems including energy converters, mobile platforms, and robotic manipulators (via AVC Group and Robotics Group websites).
