Benita Bunjun

Benita Bunjun is an Associate Professor at Saint Mary's University, affiliated with the Department of Social Justice and Community Studies and the Women & Gender Studies program. Her work bridges critical race and feminist studies with organizational, migration, and decolonial frameworks.

• Education: Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of British Columbia (2012), Postdoctoral Fellowship at Simon Fraser University (2014)

Research Interests include Indigenous-settler relations, racialized labor migration, mental health inequities, and the feminization of poverty. Her projects examine colonial legacies in institutions, transnational student experiences, and anti-racist pedagogy.

Selected Publications analyze white supremacy in academia, consumer anti-racism responses, and colonial archival practices. She collaborates with the Centre for Race, Autobiography, Gender and Age (RAGA) and the Racialized Students Academic Network (RSAN).
