Bengt Götrick is a Professor and Senior Dental Officer at Malmö University's Faculty of Odontology, where he has served as Head of Division 4 since 2019. Division 4 encompasses Oral Radiology, Oral Diagnostics, Orofacial Medicine, Orthodontics, Pedodontics, and Community Dentistry.
His research focuses on:

- Salivary gland function and dry mouth treatment
- Antibiotic prophylaxis in dentistry
- Oral lichen planus treatment
- Bleeding tendencies with anticoagulant therapy
Professor Götrick is actively involved in regional and national guideline development for antibiotic use in dentistry. His research demonstrates strong clinical relevance with emphasis on evidence-based protocols for dental implant surgery, management of patients on anticoagulants requiring dental procedures, longitudinal assessment of oral health in aging populations, and innovative dental education approaches.
He leads several significant research projects including:

- Risk of thrombosis and bleeding complications related to dental surgery
