Benedicte Mauguiere

Benedicte Mauguiere is Professor of French & Francophone Studies and Chair of the Department of French & Italian at Colby College. She also serves as Vice-President for the Americas of the Association Internationale des Études Québécoises (AIEQ) and is the Past Executive Director of Conseil International d'Études Francophones (CIEF). Her academic credentials include a Doctorat from Université Paris IV-Sorbonne.

Her research explores Francophone, post-colonial, diasporic, and transnational studies, with a focus on cultural production in the Americas (Québec, Maine, Louisiana, Caribbean) and the Indian Ocean (Madagascar, Mauritius, Réunion). Key themes include:
