Ben Zwickl is an Associate Professor at the University of Oslo's Department of Physics and Rochester Institute of Technology. A Fulbright Fellow and NSF CAREER awardee, he researches physics education, quantum workforce development, and computational literacy.
He holds a PhD from Yale University and completed postdoctoral work at University of Colorado Boulder. Zwickl examines expertise development, laboratory education, and career pathways in STEM. Recent projects focus on quantum information science education and equitable graduate admissions.
Publications analyze problem-solving in research contexts, remote learning during COVID-19, and authentic engineering practices. He co-directs Rochester Institute of Technology's Center for Advancing Scholarship to Transform Learning.
