Ben Schachter

Ben Schachter is Professor of Digital Art and Media at Saint Vincent College, an internationally recognized illustrator and graphic novelist. His award-winning work explores intersections of textual narrative and visual interpretation, particularly in Jewish literature and cultural themes. He received the Emma Lazarus Award for designs combating antisemitism, and his graphic literature has been recognized in competitions including the Solstice Literary Magazine awards.

His pedagogical approach integrates technical training in 3D modeling, storyboarding, and motion graphics with conceptual investigations into narrative visualization. Courses emphasize how illustration complements, enriches, and interprets written narratives across media formats.
