Ben Jones

Ben Jones is a Clinical Associate Professor in Metabolic Medicine at Imperial College London's Faculty of Medicine, affiliated with the Section of Endocrinology and Investigative Medicine. He is also a Consultant in Metabolic Medicine at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and North West London Pathology. His research focuses on translational pharmacology of G protein-coupled receptors in metabolic diseases, particularly the GLP-1 receptor and biased agonism mechanisms.

Education: MB/BS from University of Cambridge (2006), followed by Foundation and Core Medical training in Cambridge and Oxford. He completed an Academic Clinical Fellowship at Imperial (2010) and held MRC-funded research fellowships (2013–present).

Research emphasizes mechanistic studies of incretin receptor agonists for diabetes and obesity therapies. Awards include MRC Clinical Research Training Fellowship and Imperial Post-Doctoral Fellowship.
