Ben Jenkins is a Lecturer and Assistant Director of the Lower Division Writing Program at San Diego State University's Department of Rhetoric and Writing Studies (College of Arts and Letters). He concurrently teaches English at Miramar College. Holding an MFA and BA in English from SDSU, his research focuses on Indigenous literature, global indigenous issues, technology's societal role, civil discourse, environmental concerns, and social justice. In 2016, he won the New Voices Native American Writing Contest through the literary journal See the Elephant.
