Ben Boyce

Ben Boyce is a Lecturer with the College in Prison Program in the Department of Communication at the University of Colorado Denver. He is actively involved with the CU Denver Prison Education Program, working directly with incarcerated students through academic instruction and creative initiatives.

Dr. Boyce's research and teaching focuses on communication within carceral contexts, emphasizing writing pedagogy and creative expression for incarcerated learners. His work bridges theoretical communication frameworks with practical educational applications in correctional facilities, exploring how expressive arts can facilitate personal transformation and critical thinking among students in prison settings.

He serves as faculty advisor for 'Captured Words Free Thoughts,' a writing and art magazine showcasing creative work produced by students in the prison education program.
