Ben Bolter

Ben Bolter is a Lecturer in Conducting and Ensembles at Northwestern University's Bienen School of Music. He made his orchestral conducting debut with the National Symphony Orchestra at age 25 and has been praised for his work with Chicago's Ear Taxi Festival, including conducting Drew Baker's NOX, named Chicago's Best Classical Music Performance of 2016. He has served as assistant conductor with the Indianapolis Symphony and collaborated with ensembles like the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Grossman Ensemble, and International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE).

He has premiered works by composers such as Shulamit Ran, Sam Pluta, and Marcos Balter, and collaborated with artists like Steve Reich and Esa-Pekka Salonen.
