Beki Grinter

Beki Grinter serves as a Professor and Associate Dean for Faculty Development in the School of Interactive Computing within the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Her research expertise centers on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Social Computing, with emphasis on applying empirical methods to inform technology design and evaluation. Her scholarly work bridges theoretical HCI principles with practical applications in real-world technology development.

• Elected to the CHI Academy in 2012 for sustained contributions to the field of Human-Computer Interaction

Prior to her academic appointment at Georgia Tech, Dr. Grinter held research positions at Bell Laboratories and Xerox PARC's Computer Science Laboratory, bringing substantial industrial research experience to her academic career.

She maintains affiliations with the School of Interactive Computing, the Office of the Dean, and the GVU Center at Georgia Institute of Technology.
