Begoña Soler Huertas

Begoña Soler Huertas is a researcher at the University of Murcia, affiliated with the Historical Archaeology and Heritage of the Western Mediterranean research group. She previously collaborated with the Archaeology research group at the same institution.

Education:

• PhD in Archaeology, University of Murcia (2005). Thesis: 'Mármoles de importación, mármoles de sustitución y materiales pétreos de procedencia local en la arquitectura teatral en Hispania. El teatro romano de Carthago Nova', supervised by Dr. Sebastián F. Ramallo Asensio.

Research Focus: Her work centers on historical archaeology, heritage studies, and the analysis of Roman architectural materials in the Western Mediterranean region. Her doctoral research examined the use of local versus imported stones in Roman theaters, particularly in Hispania.
