Becky Field

Dr. Becky Field is a Research Fellow at the University of Sheffield's School of Medicine and Population Health, specifically within the Sheffield Centre for Health and Related Research (SCHARR). She works in the Health and Care Research Unit within the Division of Population Health, focusing on qualitative health services research with particular emphasis on dementia care and community engagement.

Dr. Field holds a PhD in Health Services Research (2020), an MSc in Clinical Research from SCHARR (2012), a University Diploma in Occupational Therapy, and a BA Hons. Her academic journey began with clinical work as an NHS occupational therapist, primarily in community brain injury rehabilitation, before transitioning to research.

Her primary research interests center around qualitative and participatory methods for complex intervention development, with specific focus areas in dementia, dementia risk reduction, brain health, and occupational therapy.
