Dr. Becky Faett serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Acute & Tertiary Care at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing, where she teaches didactic and clinical courses for sophomore BSN students and mentors DNP doctoral candidates. Her global impact includes developing surgical care curricula for Kazakhstani nurses and mentoring Chinese visiting scholars from Capital Medical University.
Her research pioneers innovative pedagogical approaches through telehealth simulation and interprofessional education. She established virtual clinic rooms with telehealth equipment using Dean's Clinical Scholar funding, created evidence-based YouTube teaching videos for peer discussions, and led comparative studies on escape rooms versus traditional simulations for teamwork training. Her work bridges classroom theory with real-world clinical applications in medical-surgical nursing.

Her simulation infrastructure includes dedicated virtual clinic rooms with telehealth equipment at the School of Nursing, supporting nationwide adoption of her evidence-based training modules. As an INACSL, ANA, PSNA, and Sigma member, she contributes to the Governance Committee of Sigma's Eta Chapter while presenting research internationally.
