Beatriz Plaza

Beatriz Plaza is a Professor in Urban and Regional Economics at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and serves as Guest Faculty for Cultural Economics at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT). Her research focuses on the economic impact of cultural events and infrastructures, regional policy, cultural policy as development strategy, and entrepreneurship within cultural and creative industries.

Her work has been published in journals such as International Journal of Urban and Regional Research, Tourism Management, and European Planning Studies. She has coordinated international and national research projects analyzing the economic dimensions of culture and heritage. Notable presentations include talks at Akademie der Künste Berlin, Stern Business School (New York University), and SDA BOCCONI MAMA.
