About
Beata Molin is an Associate Professor at the Swedish Red Cross College's Department of Health Sciences, combining roles as a midwife, registered pharmacist, and medical doctor. Her work focuses on chronic pain related to childbirth, women's health, and healthcare system improvements. She holds a PhD from Karolinska Institutet (2022), defending a thesis on long-term pain post-childbirth.
Teaching responsibilities include anatomy/physiology, pharmacology, diagnostics, and nursing modules. Her research highlights that 1 in 6 women experience persistent postpartum pain, often with inadequate healthcare support. Findings emphasize systemic gaps in pain management and patient empowerment.
Current research trends include mixed-methods studies on patient experiences and healthcare system deficiencies, alongside epidemiological surveys on dyspareunia. Future projects aim to identify risk factors for postpartum pain, study vulnerable populations' care experiences, and conduct longitudinal analyses of pain prevalence over 8-10 years post-childbirth.
Labs/Teams: Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams at Karolinska Institutet and the Swedish Red Cross College to advance pain research and clinical education.
