Basmattee Boodram

Basmattee Boodram is a Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health. Her work focuses on the intersection of substance misuse and infectious diseases among marginalized populations, including people who inject drugs, correctional populations, and homeless individuals. She leads NIH- and CDC-funded research projects on hepatitis C elimination strategies and opioid-related interventions.
