Bascom Guffin is a Sessional Instructor in the Department of Sociology & Anthropology at Simon Fraser University (SFU). He holds a PhD in sociocultural anthropology from the University of California, Davis, an MFA in film from Columbia University, and an MA in international affairs from New School University. His research focuses on urbanization dynamics, particularly examining affluent tech industry professionals in Hyderabad's Cyberabad area. This work explores mobility cultures, including career ambitions, migration patterns, urban transportation, and interactions with regulatory frameworks.
