Bas van Vliet

Dr. Bas van Vliet is an Associate Professor at the Environmental Policy department of Wageningen University & Research. His work spans interdisciplinary research areas focusing on Environmental Policy, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Circular Economy, Urban Agriculture, Energy Transition, and Water-Energy-Food Nexus.

Research Interests: Van Vliet specializes in sustainability governance through practice theories, energy systems, and urban-agricultural dynamics. His recent projects address circular economy strategies in healthcare, SDG implementation in the Global South (notably Uganda), and spatial justice in renewable energy planning.
