Bart Bas

Bart Bas is a Researcher at the Department of Electrical Engineering in the College of Engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in the Photonic Integration Research group, focusing on novel materials and hybrid integration techniques for photonic circuits.

• Education: B.Sc. and M.Sc. (cum laude) in Electrical Engineering (2020 and 2023, TU/e).
• Research Interests: Photonics, microwave photonics, photonic integrated circuits, hybrid integration, electromagnetics, and optical engineering.

His research explores hybrid photonic integration to develop building blocks for photonic circuits. Key publications include work on electro-optic phase modulators, InP-based temperature sensors, and true-time delay systems using ring resonators, reflecting interdisciplinary efforts in photonics and semiconductor technology. He is affiliated with the Photonic Integration Research group at TU/e and has contributed to four conference proceedings and one journal article.
