Bart Adam Walters

Bart Adam Walters is a Limited Term Faculty member in the Music Department at the University of North Georgia's Gainesville Campus, where he teaches applied saxophone and music appreciation. An active performer and chamber musician throughout the Southeastern United States, he previously served eleven years as a saxophonist in the U.S. Army, rising to the rank of Sergeant First Class.

Dr. Walters' academic credentials include:

• Doctor of Musical Arts in Saxophone Performance from the University of Georgia (2012), studying under Joseph Wytko and Kenneth Fischer
• Master of Music in Saxophone Performance from the University of West Georgia (2004)
• Bachelor of Music in Saxophone Performance from the University of Florida (1995)

His expertise spans Applied Saxophone (performance pedagogy), Musicology (scholarly analysis of musical traditions), and Jazz Studies (historical and theoretical frameworks).
