Barry Wood is a Visiting Teaching Fellow and Honorary Fellow at Manchester Metropolitan University's Manchester Writing School. He holds a BA Honours in English & Philosophy from the University of Reading, an MA in English & American Literature from McMaster University, and an MA in Literary Translation from Essex University.
His research focuses on modern poetry, literary criticism, and translation studies. Key interests include contemporary poetic forms, cross-cultural literary exchange, and the intersection of philosophy and literature.
Previously, Wood served as Principal Lecturer in English & Creative Writing at the University of Bolton (1971-2004) and delivered courses through the University of Manchester's public program. His scholarly contributions include critical analyses in PN Review and interviews with prominent poets for literary publications.
