Barry Wang holds multiple leadership roles at Vanderbilt University:

• Chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
• Professor of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science

• Vanderbilt Institute for Surgery and Engineering (VISE) Affiliate

His research centers on medical image analysis and statistical interpretation methodologies, directing the Medical-image Analysis and Statistical Interpretation Lab (MASI). This work integrates computer vision and machine learning techniques to advance biomedical imaging diagnostics through engineering solutions.
