Barry R. Furrow is Professor of Law and Director of the Health Law Program at Drexel University's Thomas R. Kline School of Law. A pioneer in health law, he authored the leading casebook in the field and co-authored a Supreme Court-cited treatise. His research spans healthcare policy, regulation, patient safety, and medical ethics.
Furrow's expertise includes federal regulation of medical errors, big data applications in healthcare, pain management jurisprudence, and sports medicine law. He has held faculty positions at Widener University (where he founded the Health Law Institute), University of Detroit, American University, and George Mason University.
