Barry R Evans

Barry R Evans is a Senior Lecturer in Paramedic Science and Out of Hospital Care at the University of Sunderland. An HCPC Enhanced Care Paramedic with over 20 years of experience in ambulance and pre-hospital care settings, he commenced his career in September 1999 with a local NHS ambulance service.

Barry completed his CertEd teaching qualification in 2012 and is currently studying towards his PGCE. He secured a role as a Clinical Education and Development Officer before being promoted to Education Development Lead in 2015.

He has developed, taught and led various medical educational programs from care assistant grades to student paramedic programs, with teaching and assessment experience across three NHS ambulance services throughout the UK and in the private sector.
